MUA Pro-Base Prime & Conceal Powder | Road Test

“It’s like painting by numbers, but for your face”.

This is my second re-purchase of this product because I simply cannot do my make-up without it.

The baked powder gives even overall complexion correctness with the use of Peach, Lilac, Green and Yellow.

If you have no idea about colour correcting and the benefits it could give you then MUA provide a handy little how to for you to look over.

What’s so great about this particular colour corrector, as opposed to other brands is the powder allows for subtle, buildable coverage. If you are looking for a cream colour corrector, make sure to check out my review of the Makeup Revolution Ultra Base Corrector palette.

What I like to do is use the cream corrector before my foundation, then apply concealer and before I apply translucent powder to bake, I take a dry make up sponge and pat gently under my eyes. This makes that particular area really bright and pop.

My only criticism would be the packaging. The actual pan comes out of the case, which made me think “oh, it’s refillable? That’s so handy!” However, when I emailed MUA and asked if this was the intention, and if so where could I buy the refill? They replied that it wasn’t refillable and it’s that way so it’s easier to make. I don’t know why the powder couldn’t be placed directly in the compact?
