Na na na na na na na na PRIMARK!
Recently, Primark has released a beauty collection to coincide with the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I didn’t see any promotion for these products on Instagram or other social media, and I only happened to stumble upon them when I was last in the Narnia that is my local Primark store.
Me walking into Primark:
I only have a 3 items from the collection because they were the only ones I could find. Primark also have a Batman and Superman nails glitter/embellishment sets, as I’m not 12 gong to a school disco I didn’t buy them, and a Batman black and white blender sponge. I didn’t see this in my store, or I would have bought it.
Batman Carbon Black Mascara
This mascara looks so promising, the words ‘CARBON BLACK’ give me the chills in terms of mascara. The wand is reminiscent of the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara wand; short bristles one side and long bristles the other side. I’m not the biggest fan of the Roller Lash mascara in comparison to other Benefit mascaras, yet if does separate and evenly coat my top and bottom lashes. The Batman alternative is essentially the same in performance. The black matte packaging in the dynamic shape is the real selling point of the entire collection, particularly on the mascara.
Batman Batflix Eyeliner
This cute little liner is suppose to give you flicks that even Catwoman will claw at to get. The little tail of an applicator will make it easy to get right in the little corners of the eye. The formula is jet black and completely opaque. This isn’t a bad little beauty for £2.00.
This is what I first discovered, which made me go Gotham goo goo. the packaging and colour is so scrumptious. I was a little disappointed as the colour on the box is drastically different from the actual colour. I would have preferred the red one if I’m honest. On application it does take a good few coats to get the opaque look wanted. I would also say that the colour is or is very similar to that of Primark’s Wine lip liner and crayon. Overall a good lipstick for £2.50
Overall, this is an OK collection. It’s biggest boast is the gorgeous matt black and rose gold packaging with the comic strip boxes. I would say if you’re into this kind of thing you will love it and is a must for your vanity/bathroom shelf/mantel.
